What is the difference between Fill hole and Plug leakage
The Fill Hole command is to fill (or bridge) such holes that are straightforward and simple. Plug Leakage and Wrap mesh are designed for cases where the hole boundary is complicated (e.g. from serval bodies or non-manifolds). Plug leakage can patch the holes after toggle on point on curve snap option.
Fill hole closes hole in facet model while keeping original facets unchanged. It requires a clean hole boundary, i.e. has no topology issue, like non-manifold.
Plug leakage and Wrap mesh, as a cleanup operation, wraps one or more bodies, to create a facet body without gaps or voids. It reconstructs the shape.
e.g. in the hand case below, the original model has more than 20 facet bodies and each has a complex boundary. Some intersect with others. Plug leakage and Wrap mesh could generate a single result body without gaps or voids.
In the surgical plate case, wrap mesh removes topology and geometry issues, like laminar slits and intersection facets.
